Additionally, management must be acutely aware of the conditions affecting the socio-economic “complexion” of those comprising their workforce. These conditions directly relate to the quality, performance and stability of the workforce. Therefore, policies and procedures must be in place to accommodate compliance and other employee assistance strategies and programs.
These are not matters of “fluff” or social “feel good” endeavors – these are matters of more correctly managing costs associated with “personnel dysfunction”, diminishment of performance, and associated costs of elevating productivity and litigation. These are situations arising from, both, internal and external cause and effect.
